Trump Opposes 25th Amendment for Biden, Calls Harris ‘Dangerous’

(UnitedHeadlines.com) -During a July 25 interview, former President Donald Trump warned against removing President Joe Biden from office using the 25th Amendment.

Trump, during an appearance on “Fox & Friends,” stated that putting Vice President Kamala Harris in office would be more “dangerous,” adding that she is “worse than he is.” Trump also noted that Biden only has a few more months in office and added, “I don’t think they should use the 25th Amendment.”

He then focused on Harris, who he called “a San Francisco radical.” He said she is “much worse” than Biden and “a way worse candidate.” In response to a question, Trump stated that he does not believe America would survive if she were to be president.

He stated that during the 2020 primaries, Harris’ debate performance “was terrible,” adding, “She was horrible.” He claimed Harris was the “meanest” person in the race, noting that she was “meaner” to Biden and “just nasty to him.” He recalled her accusing Biden “of being racist with the buses.” He questioned how Biden could choose “a person treats you so badly” as his running mate.

Trump’s comments come after Biden dropped out of the presidential race in a July 21 post on Twitter. Biden’s withdrawal follows calls from Democrat lawmakers and donors for him to drop out of the race after his June 27 debate performance against Trump. While he did not endorse Harris in the first post, he did announce his support for her to be the Democratic presidential nominee in a second post. Harris had enough delegates pledge their support for her by July 22 to be the presumptive Democratic nominee.

In comments following Biden’s withdrawal, Trump and his running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, stated that the Democratic Party had led a “coup” against Biden. Vance noted that if Democrats were concerned with Biden’s abilities to lead, Democrats should consider the 25th Amendment.
