President Predictor Says Trump May Win if Biden Is Replaced

(UnitedHeadlines.com) – On July 7, American University professor Allan Lichtman called removing President Joe Biden as the nominee a “disaster” for Democrats.

Lichtman has accurately predicted the outcome of nine of the last 10 elections since 1984 using his system based on 13 “Keys to the White House,” which include challenger charisma, contest, foreign/military success, incumbent charisma, incumbency, long-term economy, party mandate, policy change, scandal, short-term economy, social unrest, and third party.

According to Lichtman, former President Donald Trump could win if the Democrats choose a nominee to replace Biden if he does not drop out of the race. Lichtman stated that Biden has two of his 13 keys, the incumbency key, and the party contest key, and Democrats lose both if Biden is pushed out of the race. He noted that such a move would lead to a situation similar to 2016, when “there was no incumbent in the race” and Trump defeated Hillary Clinton.

He said political commentators who have called for Biden to drop out of the race, are “misguided,” reminding people how the commentators were wrong about Trump in 2016. He accused CNN co-anchors John Berman and Sara Sidner of being “complicit” in helping Trump in “lying and conning his way to the presidency” because they questioned Biden’s mental capabilities.

He added that there could be a “brawl” at the Democratic National Convention if the delegates replace Biden. While Biden already has thousands of delegates in his camp, many have called for him to withdraw from the race after his debate performance.

He went on to defend Biden’s mental capability, which many have questioned following the debate where he froze and made false claims repeatedly. Lichtman said Biden should be judged on his record over the last three and half years instead of how he performed during the 90-minute debate.

The only election Lichtman incorrectly predicted was in 2000 when George W. Bush won, though Litchman correctly predicted that then-Vice President Al Gore would win the popular vote. He has not made a final prediction for 2024 based on his electoral keys.
