Hillary Also Sees a Problem With Biden

(UnitedHeadlines.com) – Hillary Clinton commented on President Joe Biden’s age, calling it a “legitimate” concern, during a Feb. 7 interview.

During the MSNBC interview with Alex Wagner, the former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, and former First Lady, said that people she had talked with in the Biden White House had admitted his age is an “issue.” She added that it was not just an issue for Biden, who is 81, but also for former President Donald Trump, who she said is “only [a few] years younger.” Trump is 77.

Clinton stated that despite his age, she supports Biden “because of the merits,” adding that she thinks Biden “has done a really good job as President.”

She also offered advice for Biden, saying he needs to “lean into the fact that he’s experienced.” She added that while he occasionally jokes about his age, he needs to joke about it more.

Clinton’s comments were made just one day before special counsel Robert Hur’s 388-page report was published that stated Biden is an “elderly man with a poor memory.” The report stated that while he “willfully” mishandled classified documents, his failing mental faculties would have made a conviction impossible. The report detailed how, over two days of interviews in October, Biden could not “remember when he was vice president” and could not recall, “even within several years,” what year his son Beau had died.

Polling shows that voters are concerned with Biden’s age and his health. A recent poll by NBC News showed 76 percent of those surveyed had major or moderate concerns about whether Biden has the mental and physical acuity to be president. An ABC News poll showed 86 percent of those surveyed think Biden is too old to serve a second term. However, the poll also shows that 59 percent think Trump and Biden are too old for second terms.

If he is re-elected to a second term, Biden, the oldest president in the history of the United States, would be 86 when he leaves office.
