(UnitedHeadlines.com) – On March 25, the Secret Service and the Washington, D.C., police bomb squad responded to the home of White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, 47, after manure was thrown out of a car near his home around 8:20 a.m.
According to a law enforcement official, someone threw a “small amount” of manure out of a car window at Sullivan’s home in the West End neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said Secret Service Uniformed Division officers, along with the Metropolitan Police Department’s bomb squad, responded to reports of a “suspicious package” found near Sullivan’s home but would not confirm the substance was manure. He also refused to clarify how much manure was thrown near Sullivan’s home. The scene was declared safe by the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team, according to Guglielmi.

An investigation is ongoing, according to Guglielmi. The area has red-light and traffic cameras, which could be used to help locate the suspect, according to Politico.
According to a video post on the Twitter account of Turkish Radio and Television, the Palestinian Youth Movement was responsible for the manure thrown at Sullivan’s home, and it was to protest Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s March 25 visit to the United States. The post stated that a similar incident occurred outside Department of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s home.
This is not the first time Sullivan’s home has had a security breach. In April 2023, Sullivan alerted his 24/7 Secret Service detail of an intruder in his home after he asked an intoxicated man who had walked into his home in the middle of the night to leave.
On Christmas Day, his home was also the site of a pro-Palestinian protest organized by The People’s Forum to protest the Biden administration’s refusal to call for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas.
