(UnitedHeadlines.com) – On Feb. 26, first responders were seen at the Jupiter, Florida, home of Donald Trump Jr., after he opened a letter in his home office that contained a death threat and an unknown white powder.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to the scene, where authorities had to wear hazmat suits because of the unknown white powder.
The rambling letter referred to Mary Trump as a “class act” and made reference to Jared Kushner and California Gov. Gavin Newsom. The letter ended with a description of Trump Force One crashing.
According to Trump Jr.’s spokesperson, test results conducted on the white powder came back “inconclusive.” However, the spokesperson added that authorities who responded to Trump Jr.’s home “do not believe it is deadly” and Trump Jr. was not in danger.
Teri Barbera, a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, said the Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Secret Service with the investigation.
The oldest son of former President Donald Trump, Trump Jr. has lived in Jupiter since he moved away from New York in 2021, purchasing the $9.7 million home with his fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle.
Trump Jr. said this was the second time he has received a letter containing a white powder substance, adding that it is “too commonplace” that this is happening. He said it was “unacceptable” to have an unknown substance and death threats sent to anyone regardless of “what your politics are.”
Trump Jr. is not the first political figure to be targeted by death threats in the last year. Authorities charged a New Hampshire man with sending threatening text messages to then-2024 Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and then-2024 Republican candidate and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in December. Both have since dropped out of the race. Around New Year’s Day, former South Carolina governor and the only 2024 Republican presidential candidate remaining in the race against the former president, Nikki Haley, was the target of two swatting incidents.
