All My Children’ Actor Alec Musser Dies at 50

(UnitedHeadlines.com) – Actor Alec Musser, 50, died Jan. 12 at his home in Del Mar, California, according to a Jan. 13 post on social media by his fiancée, Paige Press. A cause of death has not been revealed, though Press confirmed in an interview that before his death, he had been suffering from a “severe case” of COVID.

In a series of Instagram story posts, Press wrote, “RIP to the love of my life,” adding that her “heart is so broken.” She said, “Today is the worst day of my life.” She also wrote, “I will never stop loving you.”

In an interview, Press called him “a wonderful man” and “the best dog dad.” She said that since his death, he has received memories of him from people she has “never even met,” adding, “He was so loved” by so many people.

Born April 11, 1973, in New York City, Musser was raised in Connecticut, New Jersey, and San Diego. He graduated from the University of San Diego.

In 2005, he won the second season of SOAPnet’s original series “I Wanna Be a Soap Star,” which landed him a role on the ABC soap opera “All My Children.” Between 2005 and 2007, Musser appeared in 43 episodes of “All My Children” as Del Henry. He appeared as the Water Park Stud in the 2010 film, “Grown Ups,” which starred Adam Sandler. He had a role in the film “Road to the Altar.” He also made guest appearances on the TV series, “Desperate Housewives” and “Rita Rocks.”

Musser was also a bodybuilder, fitness model for Men’s Health and Exercise Health, and model for Abercrombie & Fitch. On Instagram, he documented his active lifestyle, which included surfing and skiing.

Sandler remembered Musser in an Instagram post, writing, “I loved this guy,” who was a “true great sweetheart of a person.” Sandler said Musser was “a wonderful, funny, good man” and he can’t “believe he is gone.”
